Junior League of Mobile to Celebrate 90 Years of Impact


The Junior League of Mobile (JLM) is celebrating 90 years of impact in the Mobile and Baldwin county communities this year.

JLM, founded in 1931, will officially celebrate 90 years on September 2, 2021. The organization plans to celebrate this milestone year through a number of ways, including a community fundraiser, a 90 Days of Caring campaign, and by highlighting women who have made a difference in the Mobile area.

Junior League of Mobile (JLM), founded in 1931, is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The organization’s economic impact is about $1 million annually, combined in funds invested in the community and the value of its volunteer hours as calculated using Points of Light Foundation metrics.
