For many years the Junior League of Mobile partnered with several Mobile County Public Elementary Schools through our Backpack Program. This program provided meals and snacks for students experiencing food insecurity at home. While this program is very important, we are relieved to know that many businesses are currently working with Feeding the Gulf Coast to ensure that these children have food on weekends.

The Junior League of Mobile’s newest signature project, Adopt-A-School, partners with a local school to provide food items and other basic necessities. This includes clothing, uniforms, hygiene supplies, and school supplies for students in need. We are committed to our partnership with local schools to help promote student success.

All public schools in Mobile and Baldwin Counties serving grades PreK-8 may apply.

Applications for our 2026-2027 Adopt-a-School partner school are open until July 26, 2026. Chosen school will be notified in August.
