For many years the Junior League of Mobile has partnered with several Mobile County Public Elementary Schools through our Backpack Program. This program provided meals and snacks for students experiencing food insecurity at home. While this program is very important, we are relieved to know that many businesses are currently working with Feeding the Gulf Coast to ensure that these children have food on weekends.
We are excited to announce a new signature project that we are launching! In order to make a very large impact in our community, we are introducing the Adopt-A-School program!
The Junior League of Mobile’s Adopt-A-School program will select one Mobile County Public Elementary School and will not only provide food items for students in need, but will also provide other basic necessities such as clothing, uniforms, hygiene supplies, and school supplies. We are committed to our partnership with Mobile County Public School system to help promote student success.
