MOBILE, Ala. – The Junior League of Mobile (JLM) opened the doors to its annual holiday market, Christmas Jubilee, in downtown Mobile at Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center on Friday, November 15, 2019. The 35th annual event was jam-packed with special events and shopping hours through Sunday, November 17, 2019. Following the incredible success of last year’s Christmas Jubilee, mark your calendars for Christmas Jubilee 2020 – November 13 – November 15. 

“In celebration of 35 years, we have made a number of exciting changes! With new market days, digital advance tickets, and more included with the price of general admission, our committee welcomes our shoppers to kick off the holiday season at Christmas Jubilee! Please join us for some great shopping, delicious food court options, fun activities for kids, beautiful artwork, lively entertainment, holiday decorations, and memorable special events! This event is a great way to celebrate the holiday season while giving back to the community,” said Julia Hatley, 2019 Chair for Christmas Jubilee.

“Buying a ticket to Christmas Jubilee makes a difference in the lives of many in our region. The proceeds go back to our community through our partner agencies and funds the mission of the Junior League of Mobile. Over our 35-year history, we have provided over $5 million to improve the Mobile and Baldwin County Communities,” said Lucy Pryor Slaton, President of Junior League of Mobile.

Christmas Jubilee is more than a holiday shopping market with over 100 merchants; it is also a great experience for families and friends to celebrate the holidays. This year’s market will begin with our VIP Shopping event on Friday, Nov. 15th from 9-11am and features the first look at all our merchants have to offer with crowd-free, stroller-free shopping and breakfast cocktails, snacks, and sweets! Santa’s Workshop will be included in the price of general admission and open during all market hours, offering crafts and activities for kids as well as photos with Santa! Also included in the price of general admission this year is our Girls’ Night Out event, which will be Saturday, Nov. 16th from 6 to 8pm featuring a fashion show with special guests, complimentary cocktails while they last, and so much more!

General admission tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Discounts available for children, seniors, students, and veterans. Market hours are Friday, November 15 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.;  Saturday, November 16 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.; and Sunday, November 17, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information and tickets visit juniorleaguemobile.org/christmasjubilee.

Parking will be available at the Convention Center ($5/day), Water Street Parking Garage ($4 discount with Christmas Jubilee ticket on a first-come, first-serve basis). A food court, featuring three locally-owned restaurants will be available with a variety of options and a cash bar will be open during market hours.
