JLM volunteers understand the importance of outside education enrichment opportunities to a young person’s development and place a priority on providing these experiences to students across the Gulf Coast area.

Teachers

Community Assistance Fund – Allows JLM to respond financially to needs and opportunities without the required volunteer component or project involvement. Review this site if you are interesting in getting CAF specifications, timeframes, and applications.

Community Collaboration Meetings – JLM reaches out to our community by offering opportunities to work together with other nonprofit agencies and schools to discover ways that we can collaborate to improve the effectiveness of agencies, services, and programs in our community. Meetings are no charge and held at the Junior League of Mobile on a semi-annual basis. Scheduled meetings are always posted on the JLM’s main public page of our website. Community Action Team – JLM “Community Action Team” projects focus on short, intensive projects/events that can be done in a single day or weekend. Once identified, JLM provides trained volunteers and funding to accomplish the project. On this site, review past projects, current projects and get applications to apply to be on JLM’s Community Action Team.
Since program participation is limited in some cases, schools with limited resource options are prioritized. Check with the chair of the program for program availability prior to making any plans to attend. Please understand during your budgeting process, JLM can not transport or pay for transportation for students.
