Fundraisers

Last year, JLM contributed more than one million dollars in direct financial and volunteer support in these counties. These endeavors are made possible through the primary support of members, donors and several fund-raising efforts throughout the year.

Provisional Class Projects

The Junior League of Mobile (JLM) Provisional Class completed two community renovation projects this year which included the Goodwill Easter Seals playground at Springhill Presbyterian Church and the Girl Scout house at the Roger Williams Housing community.

Be Your Best Self Day

The Junior League of Mobile (JLM) hosted the Be Your Best Self Day for the Distinguished Young Women (DYW) contestants on June 16, 2011. Contestants from all fifty states volunteered throughout Mobile County to learn about community service and the mission of the Junior League of Mobile. Community Assistance Fund
While JLM places primary importance upon providing volunteers, we also
recognize that there are financial needs in our community that do not call for
volunteer involvement. JLM maintains a Community Assistance Fund (CAF) to allow
JLM the ability to respond financially to needs and opportunities within JLM
impact areas of children and education.
Application available for grants awarded Spring 2012.

Imagination Library

Imagination Library provides a free, age-appropriate book by mail every month to preschool children.  The program is available to all preschool children, beginning at birth and ending at age 5, who live in the 36610 or 36617 zip codes.  Sign up here for your child to receive free books!
Imagination Library is a partnership between Junior League of Mobile, Inc. and the Dollywood Foundation.
