Our Mission and Purpose

The Junior League of Mobile Inc., is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
Community Highlights

JLM Awarded $12,700

JLM received $2,700 to fund Transitional Living Programs at Wilmer Hall and St. Mary's Home from the Community Foundation's Youth Allocation Board.  JLM also received a top honor at the national conference of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc.  JLM was awarded $10,000 for their new member training program.  JLM will use the money to fund a community project in 2010 and to further train members to have an impact in the community. 
 

St. Mary's Home Project

Junior League of Mobile is an organization of 1,800 diverse women volunteering in the areas of Education and Children with the goal of offering hope, opportunities and solutions to the Mobile/Baldwin community.

JLM Closings


JLM Headquarters will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, and will remain closed through Monday, July 6 in observance of Independence Day. It will reopen on Tuesday, July 7.

Seconds on Sage, JLM's resale shop, will close at noon on Friday, July 3, and will remain closed through Sunday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day. It will reopen on Monday, July 6. JLM Headquarters will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, and will remain closed through Monday, July 6 in observance of Independence Day. It will reopen on Tuesday, July 7.


   Student artists participating in JLM's YADA House will have their work on display at the Mobile Museum of Art from July 6 to August 2. Please take the time to go to the Mobile Museum of Art, located on Museum Drive in Langham Park, to view their creations. YADA House is a program for high school students to interact with peers and local artists to build knowledge, portfolios, confidence and self-esteem.
